Our Local Rules

1. OUT OF BOUNDS
   a) Beyond any boundary wall, hedge or fence.
   b) Beyond the white posts along the left side of the 1st, 3rd, 6th and 13th holes, the right side of the 10th hole and along the hedge on the 4th hole.
   c) When playing the 8th hole anywhere on the 9th fairway is out of bounds.
2. WATER HAZARDS
   (Rule 26) are indicated by yellow stakes.
3. LATERAL WATER HAZARDS
   (Rule 26) are indicated by red stakes.
4. SPRINKLER HEADS All pop up sprinkler heads and manhole covers are immovable obstructions and relief from interference by them may be obtained under Rule 24–2. In addition, if such an obstruction intervenes between the ball and the hole, then the player may obtain relief without penalty in the following circumstances: If the ball is on the putting green it may be lifted and placed not nearer the hole at the nearest point which intervention by the obstruction is avoided.
5. STONES IN BUNKERS
   are movable obstructions (Rule 24–1 applies).
6. TREES With the exception of the 165 yardage markers (marked in blue and taken to the centre of the green) from which relief may be taken under Rule 24–2b (immovable obstruction), all trees are to be treated as an integral part of the course and relief is only available under penalty using Rule 28 (unplayable ball).

OUR TEMPORARY LOCAL RULES

DRAINAGE CHANNELS
Relief may be taken without penalty, within one club length from the nearest point of relief and not nearer the hole when a ball is lying on drainage channel workings across the 1st, 2nd, 9th and 10th fairways. This also applies to the drainage channel to the right of the 10th green.

AERATION HOLES
Through the green – a ball that comes to rest in or on an aeration hole may be lifted without penalty and dropped as near as possible to the spot where it lay but not nearer the hole. The ball when dropped must first strike a part of the course through the green.

On the putting green – a ball that comes to rest in or on an aeration hole may be lifted without penalty and replaced at the nearest point not nearer the hole that avoids the situation.

Through the green means - The whole area of the course except:
1) The teeing ground and putting surface of the hole being played
2) Penalty areas

GREEN DAMAGE
A ball lying on or having an area of damaged green between the ball and the intended line of putt may be marked and replaced (6 inches to the left or right) not nearer the hole without penalty.
